Whmcs

Hi,

I'm considering to get this. Just wanna find out if anybody else around here using whmcs? Any comments? Good or bad? Any other automated billing/mangement softwares to share?

Regards,
Derrick Goh

Hi Derrick,

We use WHMCS, great billing system.

We have used many types including clientexec but nothing comes close to WHMCS.

You can virtually customize everything these days with that billing system.

If you like whmcs, you can actually get it cheaper at licensepal..

Whmcs is great, we're using it too, however the support might be a little unfriendly.. I personally approached them before..

Overall it is a great billing and host management system... I like the idea that it can manage direct admin, and cpanel, gives me the edge where i can add in a new Cpanel service as i'm providing direct admin hostings now...

Thanks greg and syed. I tried clientexec previously, it was not up to my requirements. Been seeing many webhosts use whmcs, thus the intention to change.

Yes syed, i plan to buy from licensepal. Still waiting for the exchange rate to drop a little further while exploring all other options. Any other billing system that you have used and find good? Do share. Thanks.

Regards,
Derrick Goh

We used to use WHMCS, unfortunately it didn't work for us.

I'd recommend clientexec actually.

Find it too bloated and their support lacking. Wasn't as smooth/slick in terms of performanced as we liked it to be.

Not that userfriendly for our clients.

Matt the owner of WHMCS is a friendly guy, support seems to be fine for us.

We have had no issues with customers not finding our interface user friendly.

I do not know when your tried WHMCS but recent version changes have made this into a very handy billing platform.

Never the less, everyone has a personal preference, we found clientexec shocking..

WHMCS is the best Billing application present in market. So I would recommend you to consider WHMCS as it makes your Billing system automated so that you can easily maintain it.

I am using it for like 5 years. It has been good and stable, updates are always there but we have to pay for the updates.

U can also install a test version of WHMCS which is free for 1 month and have a trial.

Oh, it took me around 2 months to setup whmcs. LOL. too much work and migration to be done.
