HOWTO - Install a default index.html for your customer accounts

This is very simple! cPanel gives you a feature to create a skeleton directory, this is a directory which will be used for each new customer.

This directory is located at:

Code:
 /root/cpanel-skel

/root/cpanel-skel corresponds with /home/username. Therefore, if you want to create the default index.html, you would put the index.html at:

Code:
 /root/cpanel-skel/public_html/index.html

That's all!

Thumbs up

An easier way is to just include an index.html in your skeleton directory, using your FTP program.

for reseller who wants to give default index.html to their customer account can put index.html at /home/YOUR-RESELLER-CPANEL-LOGIN/cpanel3-skel/public_html
