PacNet packet loss

Hi,

As of now, connectivity from my SingNet ADSL broadband to PacNet network is having around 10% packet loss, there is no problem to SingNet or Starhub.

Attach is ping from my PC to noc.pacific.net.sg, another other user facing the similar issue ?

Alan

hi Tanfwc,

The Starhub network ? Are you refer to Starhub maxonline ?

So far I have no packet loss issue from SingNet ADSL to Starhub network.

Ping from my starhub network to pacnet also no issue, ping from US to pacnet also no issue.

as of now, packet loss issue have not resolve yet.

seems only the local broadband having packet loss issue to Pacnet, other local or international connectivity have no packet issue to Pacnet.

Not sure if the problem has gone away.
In any case, a forward traceroute along with your source IP to PacNet should be able to have them tell you what is going wrong. They can then reverse trace to your IP and if it's due to asymmentrical route issues.
Packet loss on local usually due to the S-One peering or rate-limit on ISPs.

Hi,

Just to update, the problem is resolve at around 4pm+ 27/04/2008.

As my verbal conversation with PacNet noc, it seems the packet loss is only affecting the peering in S-One, so only local broadband traffic is affected.
