Suggestions for Cable Testers

Hi everyone,

I believe that most of us would know of Fluke Networks' range of cabling testers. Besides Fluke Networks, are there any other cable testers that you guys would like to recommend?

I do networking cabling as part of my SI business and I don't use fluke tester in my business.

Mainly I know how to identify original branded cable manifacturing and where to purchase it.

The only cable tester I use now is the normal cable tester I purchase in Sim Lim SQ.

I only used the fluke cable tester once, that is my client request for 3rd party check why the new network layout setup not working. So to proof the cable quality, we use fluke cable tester to take the reading for record purposed only.

A couple of weeks after the initial thread had been started, I acquired a Hioki 3665-20 LAN Cable Tester - and it worked great.

In retrospect to Fluke Network equipment, the Hioki 3665-20 works incredible wonders. The initial configuration does take a hassle out of your daily schedule but once that has been resolved - everything else just falls into place.

You can check out the product page @ http://www.hioki.com/product/366520/index.html
